I write this letter to you many, many years after I should have first started it. But, you, like me, believe that everything happens when it should and for a reason. As I raise my daughter, I see you and Puppa in her and it warms my heart in ways you will never fully comprehend. As I think about what you have done for me, tears roll down my face. The sacrifices made are unfathomable and too immense to recount.
I am truly privileged and proud to be your daughter.
There are so many things you have taught me about living a happy life, but you have shown me that a simple life is the true meaning of happiness in your eyes and now mine.
You taught me the virtue of kindness and respect; the value of hard work, a good education, and saving for the future; the importance of being surrounded by people who want the best for you; the impact of positive thinking, joyfulness and gratitude; and the immense power of love.
Your love gave me the courage when I was afraid.
It gave me the strength when I felt weak.
It gave me the encouragement when I felt down.
It gave me the hope when there was despair.
It gave me the joy when my heart needed to sing.
It gave me the ability to forgive when I felt hurt.
It gave me humility when I needed to be corrected.
It gave me a kind heart when there was frustration.
It gave me the confidence when I doubted myself.
It gave me good karma.
It gave me everything.
You gave me everything because you gave me you.
It gave me my daughter. My gift. My life.
It gave me this avenue to share when others need you too.
With overflowing love and immense gratitude,
